Gary Fisher Mountain Bikes
Gary Fisher is said by many to have invented the mountain bike. In fact, his original bike company was called "Mountain Bike". The Gary Fisher bicycle company was formed in 1983 and was sold to the bike behemoth Trek in 1993. Gary Fisher is more of a boutique brand than Trek and offers a great line of bikes that ride the cutting edge of technology after all these years.
Gary Fisher and Trek have recently launched a bike advocacy program called "One World, Two Wheels". The program seeks to increase bike usage and promote bikes as a solution to problems such as traffic congestion and obesity. Via the program, Trek and Gary Fisher will donate $10 to the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) for every full-suspension Gary Fisher or Trek sold. Seems like a good way promote your brand, make a difference and give back to the organizations that help support and promote the sport of mountain biking.
