Specialized Mountain Bikes
Specialized is a major American bike manufacturer with 16 complete lines of mountain bikes. Specialized offers everything from rec level bikes to World Cup racing bikes to dirt jumpers and downhill bikes. Specialized has been an innovator in the world of mountain biking since they introduced the Stumpjumper in 1980. As well as being pioneers in technology, Specialized also formed the first professional mountain bike team in 1983.
For a few years now new mountain bike models have been bluring the line between XC bikes and trail bikes. The Specialized S-Works Stumpjumper FSR does that to an extreme degree. This is true do-it-all trail bike with racing capabilities. The S-Works Stumpjumper FSR gives you 5" of front and rear travel like many other trail bikes on the market, but this bike gives that plus the unbelievable light weight of 23 lbs. The full carbon frame is super responsive, stiff and light, plus it looks really cool. Featured Specialized Mountain Bikes - P Series
The "P" in P Series stans for progressive hardtail, you may be more familiar with them as dirt-jumping bikes. These bikes are built tough and strong with components and geometry suitible to handle everything from dirt jumping to urban assault to the skate park. Specialized P series bikes are built on A1 aluminum frames, or you can check out the P.2 Cr-Mo that rolls on a sweet chromoly steel frame. The top of the line P.3 is spec'd with components designed to take a lot of abuse like the Marzocchi DJ1 SL 100mm travel fork and the Hayes Stroker Ryde hydraulic disc brakes.
